Four men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary after allegedly using a vehicle to break into a shop.
Police responded to a call just after midnight last Friday (February 16) after a gang of men were allegedly seen using a vehicle to break into Pettits Lane Convenience Store in Romford.
A Met Police spokesperson said officers arrived to the shop in Pettits Lane North within minutes of the call, but the men had left the scene.
Officers found the vehicle that was allegedly involved nearby, and arrested four men aged between 23 and 49 on suspicion of burglary.

They recovered items including vapes, cigarettes and alcohol. The men have been bailed while the investigation continues.
Havering Police had circulated news of the arrests on X, formerly Twitter, yesterday (February 19).
