There have been long queues on M25 after a car fire on a junction slip road.
The fire broke out on the anti-clockwise slip road at junction 29 near Upminster, causing delays of around half an hour towards junction 30 near Grays.
Essex fire service was called to the blaze just before 5.45am this morning (January 9).
The slip road appeared to re-open just over an hour later, but National Highways warned that motorists can still expect delays of up to 40 minutes.
Firefighters left the scene at around 6.45am having "quickly extinguished the fire".
One social media user took to X and said that they had been stuck on the motorway for around half an hour while emergency services dealt with the blaze.
National Highways and Essex fire service have been contacted for more information about the incident, including whether anyone was hurt.
