A fast-food chain in Romford town centre has applied to extend its opening hours.
Wendy's in South Street has applied for a premises licence to stay open later on Fridays and Saturdays from 11pm until midnight.
According to its website, the store is only open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays at the moment.
The South Street branch of the American fast food chain, founded by Dave Thomas in 1969, opened in December 2021.
Wendy's will need to gain permission under section 17 of the Licensing Act 2003 before it can stay open until midnight.
A Wendy's public relations team spokesperson said: "We have submitted an application to open until midnight on Friday and Saturday - extending from 11pm - and we open from 8am.
"This covers our usual menu only."
