Police had appealed for information to find a "high risk" missing man.
Alan Fortune, 59, went missing from East Road in Chadwell Heath at 3.30am yesterday (December 11), police said.
He was last known to be wearing all black clothes, including boots, trousers and a hooded coat.
Alan has been found, police confirmed today (December 12).
Alan, from Green Lane in Ilford, also had a black and grey woolly hat and was carrying a blue tote bag, police added.
Police did not specify why Alan was classed as a "high risk" missing person.
