The body of a man thought to be a missing grandad, 96, has been found in a park lake.
Police had been appealing to find William Shrubsole, who went missing from the Main Road area of Romford at around 10.30pm on November 4.
But the Met Police announced today (November 8) that the body of a man they believe to be William was found in a lake in Raphael's Park this morning.
The force added that formal identification awaits, but that William's next of kin have been informed.
Police have asked the public to respect their privacy at this time.

A spokesperson said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing and a file will be prepared for the coroner, they added.
"We would like to thank the local community who supported the investigating team with the appeal and searches of the area to try and find him," the spokesperson said.
"Our thoughts are with the family at this time."
