A Havering theatre has announced who will be starring in its festive panto offering this year.

Queen's Theatre Hornchurch has revealed its cast and creatives for pantomime Dick Whittington, which will run from November 23 to December 31.

A tale of a poor boy who becomes Mayor of London, Dick Whittington will have returning and debut actors.

"This festive sparkling favourite with side-splitting jokes, fabulous actor-musician musicality and traditional mayhem, is guaranteed to delight all ages," a theatre spokesperson said.

Sherrie Trifle, this year's dame, will be played by the returning Dominic Gee-Burch, who starred as Dame Super Nanny in 2022's Sleeping Beauty.

Also returning this year are Elliot Mackenzie from Beautiful – The Carole King Musical; Laura Sillett of Dreamboats and Petticoats; and Hannah Woodward from The Wizard of Oz.

Michali Dantes will play Dick Whittington to make his professional debut at Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch.

Priscille Grace of Reputation joins as Meowly the Cat and Sorrel Jordan from Beautiful – The Carole King Musical and Ewan Ling of Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story complete the cast.

Dick Whittington is written by Andrew Pollard, directed by Vik Sivalingam, with music and lyrics by Tom Self.

Set and costume design will be done by Katie Lias, lighting design by Stephen Pemble, sound design by Chris Drohan and choreography by Lucinda Brereton.

The consulting producer is Caroline Leslie, the theatre's creative director is Aisling Gallagher, and the executive producer is Mathew Russell.

Debbie O’Brien and Sophia Lewis are the casting directors.

Queen's Theatre has also offered several access performances.

This includes an audio described performance on Saturday December 9 at 2pm, a British Sign Language interpreted performance on that day at 6.30pm and a dementia-friendly performance on Thursday 14 December at 1.30pm.

A special education needs and autism-friendly performance will run on Thursday December 14 at 5.30pm.

The theatre has recommended people speak to their box office team to book an access performance.

Tickets cost £13 to £34.50 - plus 65p QNext Fee per ticket - with discounts for groups and schools.
