Doggies are having a “splashing” time with a pets’ water pad being set up again to enjoy an hour’s splashing at playing fields in Brentwood .

An outdoor 'splash pad' has been set up at King George’s playing fields where pet owners can book sessions during October and November, following similar sessions held last year by Brentwood Council with Everyone Active leisure facilities company.

“Dogs are family members too,” the company’s manager named Shaun Beagle said. “So we’re letting them have a splashing time again this year and expecting a sell-out.”

The mutts have fun with water jets, fountains and cylinder spray for 45 minutes at a time and can each bring up to two humans with them.

The sessions start on Saturday, October 14, and run till November 12 between 8am and 5pm weekends and up to 6pm weekdays.

Pet owners pay £8.50 a session, booked in advance on the “everyoneactive” website.
