A man has been bailed after a car crashed into another vehicle in Elm Park following a police chase.
Police confirmed today (September 29) that a man who was arrested on suspicion of robbery and failing to stop for police yesterday (September 28) has been bailed.
The force had attempted to stop a car at 3.35am yesterday in Hornchurch after it was reported stolen during an alleged knifepoint robbery in Tower Hamlets on Monday (September 25).
After a chase yesterday, it collided with another vehicle at the junction of Rainham Road and Coniston Way in Elm Park at 3.40am, hospitalising both drivers.
Their injuries remain not life-threatening or life-changing, police confirmed today.

Police had attended with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade.
Road closures were put in place, but these were lifted at around 12.40pm that day.
The Met's professional standards team and the Independent Office for Police Conduct were notified.
