A man reportedly wielding a knife in a Harold Hill street has been arrested by police.
Metropolitan Police were called to Hucknall Close in Harold Hill yesterday (September 21) at around 12.45pm to reports of a male threatening people with a knife.
Officers put a “containment” in at the scene while they conducted enquiries.
The man, in his 40s, was later arrested at 3.45pm and knives and other items were seized from a residential address by police.

A spokesperson for Met Police has confirmed that no injuries were reported during the incident. An investigation is ongoing.
Residents on a social media group claimed seeing seven to eight police cars and “armed police officers” in Petersfield Avenue.
One of them claimed: “Armed police were there, and a rapid response paramedic car was on scene”.
