A Sainsbury's store is set to come to Beam Park "in plenty of time before Christmas".
Plans have been made for a Sainsbury's Local on the ground floor of Portland House.
The shop would be located in The Square, which a Sainsbury's spokesperson said would be at the heart of Countryside and L&Q’s Beam Park regeneration scheme.
Two projecting signs, an internally lit Sainsbury's Local fascia sign and an internally illuminated welcome sign, have been proposed in an application submitted to Havering Council.

Building works are expected to start in September and finish in December this year, according to the application.
But the Sainsbury's spokesperson said the store "is expected to open in plenty of time before Christmas".
They added: “We’re delighted to have been given the opportunity become a part of this fantastic new neighbourhood in Dagenham and Rainham.
"We’re really looking forward to opening our new store and to serving and helping the community later this year.”
