Located in the heart of Romford in Market Place, The Bull is TripAdvisor’s best bet for a pub with outdoor seating in the area.
One recent reviewer said that it was the perfect pub for a birthday celebration. They said: “Had a lovely evening in The Bull celebrating my son's 18th birthday.
“Could not fault the staff, venue and choice of drinks. All in all a really good experience and the bar staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating.
“I would definitely recommend it. Great local in the heart of our home town.”
Golden Lion, Romford
Another pub in the heart of Romford, Golden Lion in the High Street promises to host live music in the garden every Sunday afternoon.
One visitor to Romford said: “Great and friendly atmosphere, I really enjoyed the food.
“It was very fresh and tasted amazing…the staff couldn’t do more to make us feel welcome.
“It was a really nice way to spend a few relaxed hours having a meal and catch up with friends. You must visit if you go to Romford.”
The Top Oak, Stapleford
Away from the town centre, the Top Oak in Oak Hill Road near Bournebridge is highly-rated by TripAdvisor users.
The pub has plenty of outdoor seating, with one customer saying that the venue was perfect on a summer evening.
They said: “It’s a really lovely venue especially as the evening was so hot but with the outdoor seating and air conditioning inside, it was perfect. Thank you Top Oak.”
The Ship, Gidea Park
This pub in Main Road, Gidea Park, was described as “friendly” and “caring” in the two most recent TripAdvisor reviews.
A customer who visited in May said: “The Ship is a very nice traditional pub with friendly staff.
“It is dog-friendly too, which is always good. There were few dogs in the garden, so in between drinks, we fussed over them. It was a good evening all in all.”
The Orange Tree, Havering-Atte-Bower
Rounding off the TripAdvisor top-5 list is this pub in Orange Tree Hill, Havering-Atte-Bower.
Main courses on its menu range from £14 to £24, and include vegan and vegetarian options.
The pub also serves a wide selection of gins of spritzes, which could be perfect for a warm summer’s day.
