The applicant behind a proposed new vets said she has “an opportunity to serve the Harold Hill community” now that her submission has been approved.
Nomfundo Ndlwana was behind plans to build a two-storey veterinary practice in the lot previously occupied by Heavenly Ladies Gym & PT Studio, in Petersfield Avenue.
Filed with Havering Council, the proposal stated how the vets would include both a cat ward and a dog ward, plus facilities including operating theatres and a pharmacy.
Council officers have now given the plans the green light, a decision Ms Ndlwana said has been “well received”.

She said: “It grants me an opportunity to serve the Harold Hill community and its surroundings with my veterinary skills that have been finely honed over quite protracted years.
“Behind every domesticated four-legged creature is a human story. Thus, it will be my greatest pleasure to extend my not-so-easily dampened enthusiasm for a well-meaning interaction with living creatures.”
