A bus stop near you could be about to get a new sign counting down the next services to arrive.
East London boroughs will be among those to benefit from the roll-out, with Transport for London (TfL) beginning the installation of more than 300 boards in London this week.
Havering will get five new countdown signs at shelters - two at Clockhouse Lane and one in Hulse Avenue, Collier Row, one in Western Road, Romford, and another in Hainault Road, Romford.
Fourteen of the boards will be installed in Newham and 13 at bus shelters in Tower Hamlets.
Barking and Dagenham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest will also benefit from the new signs.
Louise Cheeseman, TfL’s director of buses, said: “We know that customers highly value real-time information on when their next bus is coming.
"We are pleased to be able to install these new countdown boards across the capital, as they have long proven to be popular with the millions of passengers that catch the bus each day."
TfL also said bus route expansion is planned in Havering but, when asked to elaborate, a spokesperson only said that a consultation would be launched "in the coming weeks".
