A fast-expanding kebab chain has opened the doors of its latest new restaurant.
German Doner Kebab, which has restaurants throughout the world including more than 100 in the UK, announced last month it was due to open a new site in High Road, Chadwell Heath.
It has now confirmed it began selling its range of kebabs there yesterday (December 5) in what is its 29th new UK restaurant this year.
The outlet offers both dine-in and takeaway options, with a menu including the UK’s first pink kebabs.
The chain adds it expects the site to create around 40 new jobs for the area.
Daniel Bunce, GDK global chief operating officer, said: “We’re delighted to officially open and bring the German Doner Kebab experience to Chadwell Heath.
“Our game-changing kebabs are revolutionising the kebab in the UK and we are excited to be bringing a new fast-casual dining experience to the area, offering great tasting fresh food in a relaxed and modern setting.”
German Doner Kebab was founded in Berlin in 1989. Since then, it has opened restaurants across continental Europe and in the USA, Canada and Saudi Arabia.
The new restaurant is its 199th in the UK.
