Thousands of people flocked to Brentwood for the return of the town's Christmas lights switch-on.
For the first time in two years, Brentwood Borough Council hosted its festive event Lighting Up Brentwood in and around High Street on Saturday (November 26).
Around 15,000 attendees enjoyed festivities including entertainment, festive food and drink as well as crafts and gift stalls.
The Only Way is Essex star James Argent and singer Che Chesterman joined Mayor of Brentwood Olivia Francois on stage for the switch-on.
The council's chair of community, environment and enforcement committee, Cllr Will Russell, said: “It was great to see so many people enjoying a festive day out with their families and friends.
“We all love a bit of Christmas spirit and we hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did."
