A Harold Wood school has been praised as a place where “pupils flourish” in its most recent Ofsted report. 

In a near-perfect review, Redden Court School was awarded the top ‘outstanding’ grade across all four of the areas in which it was inspected, an improvement on the ‘good’ it received last year. 

Opening the report with the line "pupils flourish here", Ofsted goes on to describe the behaviour of the pupils as "exemplary", and how those at the school are “motivated” to show positive attitudes. 

It added pupils are “happy and safe”, with bullying quickly addressed by staff. 

The school’s “broad and ambitious” curriculum was also commended, with the pupils’ “exceptional behaviour” meaning there is “little disruption” in class. 

Headteacher Anthony Henry said he is “absolutely delighted for everyone associated with Redden Court School” following the inspection. 

"This is the result of a lot of hard work, commitment and passion from many staff, students and families, both past and present.  It represents a relentless focus and determination to improve standards and to deliver an outstanding level of education to the community of Redden Court.” 

The quality of the staff, the ongoing training provided, and excellent safeguarding services were also subject to praise, with no major issues referenced.
