The hunt for a lucky Havering resident who won an unclaimed £10,000-a-month Lottery ticket has finally come to an end.
The winning Set for Life ticket was drawn on August 15, though the elusive Havering resident had failed to come forward to claim the prize.
Set For Life players who match the five main numbers win £10,000 a month for a year. If the life ball is also matched, which it was not in this case, the prize is £10,000 a month for 30 years.
Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, which operates The National Lottery, has now confirmed a claim has been received for the prize, and the validation process is currently being worked through.
It will then be up to the ticket-holder to decide whether to go public or not.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What amazing news for this lucky ticket-holder who has claimed their prize. We will now focus on supporting the ticket-holder through the process.”
